The Board of Trustees of Leadership St. Tammany Celebrates the Graduation of the Class of 2016
On Saturday, June 4, the Leadership St. Tammany Board of Trustees, alumni, friends and family gathered in the upstairs room of the Old Rail Brewing Company to celebrate the graduation of the Class of 2016. An hour of cocktails and hors d’oeuvres was followed by statements from each class member of the most memorable moments of the program year.
Leslie Martin, M.Ed., Principal of Marigny Elementary was chosen by the class to give the graduation address. Martin highlighted that, “Throughout our journey I would venture to say that my classmates and I have learned that leadership is more about service – the ability to serve others and work alongside them; not just to direct the action of others or be a ‘figure head’, but to know and understand people and help them find their true strengths as well as empower individuals to make positive changes in their life and in the lives of others.” Read her entire speech here.
